Instructions

  1. Pour milk into the blender, then add the Greek yogurt.
  2. Pile in the frozen mixed berries, then add vanilla extract and a pinch of salt.
  3. Add your chosen sweetener (honey or maple, a ripe banana, or a zero-calorie sweetener).
  4. Sprinkle in protein powder, chia seeds, almond butter, or cinnamon, if using.
  5. Blend on high until glossy and creamy, 30–60 seconds, stopping to scrape down if needed.
  6. If too thick, add milk 1 tablespoon at a time; if too thin, add a few more frozen berries and blend again.
  7. Taste and adjust sweetness; add a squeeze of lemon if berries taste flat, then blend 5–10 seconds more.
  8. Let the smoothie rest for 1 minute so bubbles settle and the texture turns silky.
  9. Pour into chilled glasses and top with granola or cacao nibs for crunch, if desired.

Notes

Best fresh. To make ahead, refrigerate in lidded jars up to 24 hours; shake vigorously before drinking as separation is normal. For longer storage, freeze single portions; thaw in the fridge overnight or at room temp 30–45 minutes, then stir or reblend briefly. You can freeze a smoothie pack (berries, yogurt, vanilla) and blend with milk when ready.
